Stewart Memorial Fountain

So here we have it - Mr Heron's roost = on the Stewart Memorial Fountain in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow. This fountain was erected to celebrate the huge water project undertaken in the 1850's, bringing fresh water from Loch Katrine to the city - the basis of our continuing water supply here in Glasgow. Well - wha'd'ya know, eh !

(Tends to be difficult getting a photo of this without a seagull on 'er 'ead !!)

At last! (So I was nowhere near, then? Pity.)Can we do another? In fact, I may do another. IN fact, I may do a musical version. In fact, in fact, the possibilities are endless!

Thank you CB1 for your enthusiasm and encouragement - hope your bricks are now dry and a glorious light from the firmament beaming upon you.
I think another would be great fun, and as you say, the possibilities are endless. I shall wait with baited breath (and we'll see what fishes appear in the sea...)
