a wednesday in springtime

green buds

creeping

along bare twigs

unfurl

new leaves like butterflies

gently

into the silent

Presence

of this moment

skimming stones

skip

across this sheltered tributary

bounding

fluent grace and motion – skipping -

skipping

- skipping onwards - reaching forwards

then

slipping gently out of sight

bright

silver sunshine

glinting

 reflection from the calm

surface

silver ripples

nuzzle

through the tension

sprinkling

bright diamonds into the harsh city.
