So here we have it - Mr Heron's roost = on the Stewart Memorial Fountain in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow. This fountain was erected to celebrate the huge water project undertaken in the 1850's, bringing fresh water from Loch Katrine to the city - the basis of our continuing water supply here in Glasgow. Well - wha'd'ya know, eh ! (Tends to be difficult getting a photo of this without a seagull on 'er 'ead !!)
